Welcome to Sheffield Boilers. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our website at sheffieldboilers.co.uk or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.
Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Company", "we", "our", "us" refers to Sheffield Boilers, registered in England and Wales
- "Services" refers to heating, plumbing, and related services provided by us
- "Client", "you", "your" refers to the individual or entity purchasing our services
- "Website" refers to sheffieldboilers.co.uk and all content therein
- "Quotation" refers to the written estimate provided for specified services
Services
Service Description
We provide heating and plumbing services including but not limited to boiler installation, servicing, repairs, and emergency call-outs. All services are carried out by qualified Gas Safe registered engineers in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
Service Booking
Services may be booked through our website, by telephone, or email. Booking a service does not constitute a contract until confirmed by us in writing and, where applicable, a deposit has been paid.
Service Guarantees
All our workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. Manufacturer warranties apply to all installed products and materials as specified at the time of quotation. This workmanship guarantee does not cover:
- Damage due to misuse, neglect, or unauthorised repairs
- Normal wear and tear
- Issues arising from pre-existing faults not related to our work
- Problems caused by changes to your property after completion
Quotations and Pricing
Quotation Validity
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change if the quotation is not accepted within this period.
Price Changes
If during the execution of works, additional issues are discovered that were not evident at the time of quotation, we reserve the right to provide a revised quotation for the additional work required.
Deposits and Payment
A deposit of 50% of the total quoted price is required for boiler installations and major works before commencement. The balance is payable immediately upon completion of the works to your satisfaction.
VAT
All prices include VAT at the current rate unless otherwise specified.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation by Client
If you wish to cancel a confirmed appointment:
- More than 48 hours' notice: No cancellation fee applies
- 24-48 hours' notice: 25% of the quoted price may be charged
- Less than 24 hours' notice: 50% of the quoted price may be charged
Deposits for major works are non-refundable if cancelled within 7 days of the scheduled start date, except where covered by your statutory rights.
Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to illness, adverse weather conditions, or parts availability. We will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible and reschedule at the earliest convenient time.
Your Right to Cancel
For contracts entered into remotely (online or by telephone), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of contract formation without giving any reason, except where you have requested immediate start of services.
Access and Working Conditions
Property Access
You agree to provide reasonable access to all areas required to complete the agreed works. If access is not available at the arranged time, a call-out fee may apply.
Safe Working Environment
You are responsible for ensuring a safe working environment. We reserve the right to refuse work if safety concerns are identified. Additional charges may apply if special safety measures are required that were not evident at quotation stage.
Intellectual Property
Website Content
All content on our website including text, graphics, logos, and images is the property of Sheffield Boilers or our content suppliers and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.
Permitted Use
You may view, download, and print content from our website for personal, non-commercial use only. No part of the website may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted without our prior written permission.
Limitation of Liability
Service Liability
Our liability for any defective services is limited to the repair or re-performance of such services. We shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from our services except in cases of death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Maximum Liability
Our total liability shall in no circumstances exceed the amount paid by you for the services in question.
Time Limitation
Any claim must be brought to our attention within 14 days of completion of services or within 14 days of discovering the issue (if not reasonably apparent at completion).

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
Data Use
Your data may be used to:

Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations due to events outside our reasonable control including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, flood, or epidemic.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
